September Summarized

It's been a very busy month for us Florida Beightol's!  So I thought I'd post some random pictures (in no particular order) to summarize how we spent our September!

Now that I have Friday's and Saturday's off, we visit daddy a lot at work!  Here's Mia trying on some gear.  I love the look on Brandon's face, he's such a proud daddy!

Jenn invited Mia and me to Disney on Ice, along with Lucia and Mikey.  We got to sit in BOX SEATS!  I felt so cool. Dinner and drinks were served  and the kids got to make ice cream sundaes during intermission.  This picture was taken after the show, Flounder (aka Mia), Mikey and Brett Carter thought it was cool to see them tear everything down!  What a fun night, THANKS JENN!!

Last night we went to Sesame Street Live with Aunt Joy, Uncle Dave and "Taro Jacob."  I think it was the best show ever!  Mia loved it so much we bought the soundtrack!  I think Brandon enjoyed it too =)

After the show, we went to City Place and ate ice cream at Sloan's!  Mia ordered her favorite, STRAWBERRY!!!
Another activity we have been doing lately, is swimming!  Mia loves swimming with her cousin!

I thought I'd add this picture so you can see Mikey and Brett Carter's faces!!  Don't tell Brandon but Mia told me that Mikey is her "little boyfriend" and Brett Carter is her "big boyfriend!"

While the rest of the world watches Monday Night Football, we Florida Beightol's have family movie night!  Joy and Taro Jacob came over one Monday and watched "Open Season."  It was so much fun, we blew up the air mattress and had a party in the living room!
Also in September, Aunt Brittany graduated from X-ray school.  Here's a cute picture of the two of them.  Mia also learned how to chew gum that night (but she likes to call it 'chomping'!  And her favorite flavor is "blue." She cracks me up!
Another fun picture taken at Greater Yamaha!  Mia picked out the yellow helmet and of course she HAD to have the matching goggles!  **Note to relatives...Christmas is coming (wink, wink)

One of the many tattooes she insists on getting to match her daddy!  It seems like she has a new one every week!

Our first daughter, Sadie Lynne, actually got some attention this month too!  We brought her to "Poochie Pines" dog park!  Mia had a blast!  And she and Brandon both stepped in dog poop!
My Aunt Lita came down to visit the family earlier this month.  Here she is with Mia and my grandparents. My grandma turned 93!!!  Happy Birthday, Lola!

I took this picture b/c Mia actually let me put her hair up in piggy tails!  But you really can't tell in this picture but trust me, it was adorable!

And finally, the most exciting thing that happened this month....Mia got a new title, "Little Miss Attitude!"  She has officially begun the "trying 3's!!!"  Everyday it seems like Miss Mia is becoming more and more independent (and mouthy).  It's frustrating at the time, but in the end I am enjoying every moment watching her grow up.  But it just scares me, I mean if she's this stubborn and dramatic at 3, what are her teenage years gonna be like?!?!?!

September was an exciting month, but I can't wait until October!  Mia turns 3, we are participating in the American Heart Walk, Nana Cheryl and cousin Taylor are coming to visit and High School Musical 3 is coming out!!!  Fun, fun!!!!

Family Night

So tonight we decided to go to Party Outlet to pick out Mia's birthday invitations/theme.  It was a little overwhelming at first!  There were so many cute ideas!  There was a generic, colorful "Happy Birthday" theme w/ primary colors, there was "Abby Cadabby" which I thought was perfect considering Mia wants to be her for Halloween!  "Hello Kitty" is always a cute idea, and we did "Strawberry Shortcake" last year!  But then Brandon and I were thinking we really can't do anything TOO girly b/c all her friends are BOYS!!!!  Where are the girls?!?!?

So as Mia walked around I asked her what kind of party she wanted and she said "Dora the Explorer!"  We thought it was a good idea b/c the girls can have Dora stuff and then the boys can get "Diego" stuff!  Perfect!!!!

After Party Outlet, we walked over to Sports Authority where Mia got a Dora baseball glove and baseball.  Cameron is having his birthday party this weekend at the park and we are all playing in a family softball game!!

Now, on to the BEST part of the night!!  We then went to Carrabba's for dinner.  I'm not really crazy about the restaurant but I've had a gift card for almost a year now so it seemed like a good idea to use it.  So we sat down and we had the best family dinner in a long time!  The food was good, but what made it awesome was that MIA ACTUALLY ATE!  She had (drum roll, please)....

Calamari for an appetizer
3 slices of bread
and a whole plate of linguini with white clam sauce!
Oh yea, and a glass of pink lemonade

AND....we didn't have to yell at her once!  What a wonderful night!

Newest member of the Beightol family!!!

HAPPY 1 WEEK BIRTHDAY TO MY NEW CAR!!!!
After months and months of talking about getting a new car, Brandon and I finally made our decision last Saturday night and bought a 2008 Honda Accord Sedan (with the special edition leather upgrade)!!!

Originally, we looked at the Honda Pilot.  Without a doubt it is an awesome SUV, but we didn't think it was a wise decision with gas prices so high and all.  So we then looked at the Honda Fit.  A very cute and fun little car!  We figured, this is a smart decision, excellent on gas, but they didn't give us an excellent deal on it.  So, next we looked at the VW Jetta Sportwagen and Passat Wagen.  I fell in love with the Passat, and Brandon liked the Sportwagen but again, not such a great deal and everyone was telling us not to get a VW.  So, back to good ol' Honda.  A name we love and trust!!

I went to a Honda dealership last Friday just to look at the new Accord, but the salesman was a retard!  LOL  Typical salesman...I left with his card, which I knew I was never going to use, and a huge headache!  So I called Ed Morse Honda, the same dealership we bought my last car at, and not only was the salesman so easy to talk to, he gave us a great price!!!  So the next day, my mom, Mia and I went in, test drove it, and bought it!

I was worried at first about going smaller, but it's actually bigger than the CRV!!!  And then I figured, if my mom can raise 3 kids in a "car", and Cheryl (my mother-in-law) can raise 2 kids in a "car", then I can raise 1 kid in a "car!" Who needs a SUV?!?
